This website says it all. I LOVE HOUSE MUSIC!!!
Marking his home in San Francisco since 1998, Paolo, a native of Manila, literally landed his “chenelas” on house nation soil and hit the ground running. Not having access to turntables, Paolo’s passion for house urged him to fiddle with virtual turntables on his PC and picking upvinyl whenever finances could afford it. By 2001, Paolo frequented many house parties and one in particular, OM’s monthly that featured Mark Farina and a five hour set by Derrick Carter, would reflect an inspiration and motive to put his “fiddling” into reality. Not much later he bumped elbows with another aspiring musician, Brian Salazar and with friends, they created they’re own satirical crew, The Housemen and female counterparts, The Housewives. Since then he has forged a sound that is soulful, groovy and pumped with vivacious horns, percussion, spanking bass lines, unstoppable breakdowns and sultry vocals. Shortly after, Paolo played a bevy of smaller house parties in the Bay Area, including some ventures in Los Angeles with fellow Housemen, Darwin Paul and Justin Michael. Word of mouth spread quickly and he was then booked at Remedy, SF’s legendary soulful/funky house party. Paolo is also a regular at The Cardiff Lounge in Campbell and held a residency at Infusion Lounge in SF. Ever consistent and growing, he has graced the decks with powerhouses, Grant Nelson, Jamie Lewis, Jay-J at WMC 2006. Kaskade, Jask, David Harness, Chuck Love, David Harness, Andy Caldwell, Julius Papp, Ruben Mancias, Craig C of the Pound Boys, Deepswing, & Patrick Wilson are among the other big names that he has had the honor of sharing the decks with. Although his djing career has been blessed, Paolo still has plans on not just playing locally but also internationally, including a return trip to his motherland.
