House is an uncontrollable desire to jack your body.
Larry developed an interest in electronic dance music back in 2000 by attending the Southern California massive events and venues in San Diego that played electronic music. It wasn’t until 2001 that he truly discovered his love for house music by listening to the now classic Naked Music mix by Miguel Migs, Nude Tempo. "There was something about house music that grabbed me," Larry says, "it was the sound, the rhythm, the soul, the basslines that I felt pulsating every time I heard the music." Larry's influences come from house legends such as Derrick Carter, Miguel Migs, Mark Farina, and DJ Sneak as well as today’s current house DJs/producers such as DJ Mes, Phil Weeks, Hector Moralez, Justin Long, Giom and DJ Heather.
In 2004, after being influenced by his DJ friends, Larry decided to get into DJing. "Watching the DJ behind the decks really intrigued me. It's an immense feeling of satisfaction observing the DJs ability to control the mood of every single person on the dance floor," Larry says. These past few years of being behind the decks have been an educational and overwhelming social experience. Not only did he learn the aspects of being a DJ but it taught him a lot about himself and others around him. "It's an honor to play music for a crowd. In the house music scene, people share one love one vibe...it's all about the music in their hearts. Being behind the decks feels like a whole different reality."
In 2008, Larry began getting more exposure in the San Diego house scene by playing at local venues. He was recruited by Mikey Velasquez of HAWT LA to represent HAWT Music in San Diego. His style of house music ranges form deep to funky to jackin' to tech, in a nutshell anything that makes your body JACK on the dance floor. His goal in the dance music scene has always been to bring out the positive energy within people and lift the atmosphere to a higher level through music and dance.
