Biography

Jaclyn Marie has always been passionate about the music she listens to, plays & creates. Born in New Jersey, she grew up listening to mainly salsa, merengue & cumbia, but her father loved classical jazz and played in constantly. Moving to the bay area in '89, Jaclyn lived in San Jose and was surrounded by different cultures of people and diverse styles of music. She found house music at a young age going to underground house party's and raves, but it wasnt untill spring 2002 that she really found House Music. It was life changing. She met her now husband Mikey Mayes and he introduced her to her first Remedy Party @ DNA Lounge where she saw David Harness peform for the first time. It was a night she would never forget. The people, The Music, The Dancers...The feeling was indescribable.

Infatuated with mixing records and after closly observerving the technicalities behind the craft, She started practicing on her husband's brand new pair of Technic 1200 MK5 Turntables, she was now addicted." I mixed every record he owned and any record I could get my hands on. I knew every record front to back, start to finish, Every Title, Artist, Vocalist...I knew those records better than anyone!! I would go to In-House records and search through records for what seemed like days...sifting through all the music my heart could handle." The Music she plays now is deffinatly a reflection of the person she is. 

Now she is striving to accomplish many things in the house music industry. In 2010 she became C0-Founder of N-2Soul Productions with Mikey Mayes and as a result they've been givien the oppruntunity to work with various artists, creating multiple projects for the new label. N-2 Soul Productions along with long time friend Brian Salazar also started a new party for SF's eastbay...Let Loose!! Livermore's first Soulful House Party. "We wanted to brand a party outside of the city with same music, style, ambiance and overall feel of the house party's you love in SF/Oakland/San Jose." She is also part of the infamous female house collective, the Housewives, partner to the super funky collective, the Housemen and is also happy to now represent ilovehousemusic.com with more to come in the future!!
