Childhood friends that have always had the same interest in music have always known they wanted to do something in the music industry, they just didn’t know exactly what! George Vibe has been a night club dj for over 15 years and Jerry Martinez has been involved with music since his high school years. Jerry Martinez is a graduate of MI (Musicians Institution) in Hollywood, Ca. It was at MI where Jerry expanded his musical and engineering techniques studying with some of the best producers and engineers in the business. George Vibe's musical style varies from hip-hop to 80's to the genre that he loves and keeps close to his heart, House Music. Together, they joined up to form a production group dedicated to make music that would make people dance, “Funky House Tribe”. Some of Funky House Tribes biggest influences in house music as producers and dj’s are Jimpster, Mijangos, Harry “Choo Choo” Romero, Masters At Work, Little Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, Dennis Ferrer, Frankie Knuckles, Dj Spen, Quentin Harris, Kerri Chandler, Mr. V. Miguel Migs, Jay J, Inland Knights, Roger Sanches, Hardsoul, Bassment Jaxx, Daft Punk, Kaskade, Jellybean, Armand Van Helden, Bad Boy Bill along with Los Angeles locals AJ Mora, Richard Vission, The Hooligans Dj Orlando and Tony B., & Doc Martin. George Vibe and Jerry Martinez both appreciate what house music is all about.
Funky House Tribe has been busy in the studio working on new music and new projects that are soon to be released. Most recent, Funky House Tribe released on Groove Theory Records “Salsa Soul Rhythm” and on SERVO Records “Sabroso”. Both “Salsa Soul Rhythm E.P.” and the single “Sabroso” can be found at your favorite online stores www.traxsource.com , www.beatport.com, www.stompy.com, and iTunes music store. Funky House Tribe has also joined forces with Jerry Flores to create a production team name “Urbanism” dedicated to bring you new remixes of classic house songs and some new original material.
