I remember the first time I heard 'The pressure' by Frankie Knuckles. Sure it was like fifteen years after its release but still it changed something. It made me tap my feet to that four-on-the-floor beat that we all know and love. House, dance, electronica, call it what you want too, I was hooked. Pet Shop Boys and Daft Punk pulled me along but Nick Holders Summer Daze showed me the true releasing power that only house heads know and understand.
From being a kid, beat boxing (possibly just making weird sounds with my mouth which could explain the odd looks) to playing soothing melodies on my Roland, house music has always been a part of me.
The two joined forces in 2009 to create ‘Breathe’, the first collaboration between them. Over the next two years they perfected the ever-changing, melodic flow that has come to characterize the Frank Zodiac /Moondoggie combo and which has inspired many to greatness.
Fast forward to 2012, with now ironically 11 years production experience between them, Frank Zodiac and The Moondoggie have come together to materialize the envisioned ambiance floating around in the voids of their minds.
